Like every time we have  a  gift for the winner :)

Keeping in mind with this month's challenge I have altered a wooden showpiece which also acts as a photo holder . This has been altered for someone special in my life ;)

I totally loved altering it .This still needs a photo which I will add later . So let's get to the process of altering this piece of wooden frame.

If you have any rough edges on the product you plan to alter you can use a sandpaper to smoothen the edges .Once done you can apply a coat of primer . Get the desired acrylic paint for portions that are visible I used a mixture of white and blue .Once done get your beautiful pattern paper/decoupage napkins in my case Kaisercraft Storyteller papers cut them and stick them to the wooden base with the help of synthetic resin fevicol .

You will have lot of rough edges of sheets poking out .Don't Worry ! Once the glue dries scrape of the paper as much as possible with the help of a blade then use a sandpaper to smoothen the edges .
Then use distress inks to distress the edges and to give a smooth finish to your frame.

Once that is done apply a thin coat Mod Podge -Matt on the whole frame. Keep the movement of the brush in one direction while applying the same . Be it up and down or sideways. Let it dry for good 3- 4 hours .In my case I let it dry overnight .

Once this is done you can decorate it as your hearts wish . I have used metal and resin embellishments to beautify my project .

 Craft Supplies Used :-

Kaisercraft Storyteller Paper pad
Metal embellishments
Resin embellishments
Mod Podge -Matt
Synthetic Resin Fevicol
White and Blue acrylic paint
Distress Ink- Salty Ocean
Distress Ink blenders
Sandpaper
White pearls
Stampendous Ultra fine copper glitter
Prima Junkyard findings
